ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) – SANTA CRUZ DISTRICT / NATURAL RESOURCE PROGRAM / HENRY COWELL REDWOODS SP
The reporting location for this position is Resources Field Office in Santa Cruz CA. This position will work under the general supervision of Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory).
The Environmental Scientist (PI) will assist in the coordination of resource management program along with enhancement and protection of natural resources within the District. This position’s focus is on the faunal resources of the District including management of rare, sensitive, threatened or endangered species. The position may be responsible for leading the work of others and will exercise a high level of independent action.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
This position may work up to 1500 hours in any calendar year.
