A well-established automotive dealership is seeking an experienced Automotive Office Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and support the financial success of the dealership. This leadership role is responsible for supervising accounting staff, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and assisting with month-end financial reporting and closing activities.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Controller with overseeing daily accounting operations and accounting staff
- Supervise, train, mentor, and support accounting team members
- Process and reconcile dealership financial transactions, including bank statements, general ledger entries, invoices, and expense schedules
- Research, reconcile, and maintain accurate accounting schedules
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Ensure timely payment and reconciliation of manufacturer incentives, floorplan interest, warranties, and other dealership receivables
- Monitor internal accounting controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Coordinate purchasing activities, evaluate vendors, and assist with supplier negotiations
- Prepare reports and provide financial information to dealership leadership as needed
- Assist with process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Automotive Office Manager experience required
- Strong knowledge of automotive dealership accounting practices
- Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds/Ignite preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive, professional demeanor with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment screening, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug testing
