Cheng Shi Education – Syosset, NY (Remote Option Available)
Cheng Shi Education is expanding and is looking for passionate and knowledgeable Academic Teachers to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year.
We are hiring multiple part-time instructors to teach a variety of middle school and high school academic subjects. You only need to be qualified in one subject to apply. We have multiple teaching positions available.
Subjects
We are currently hiring instructors for one or more of the following subjects:
- Precalculus
- Algebra I
- Algebra II
- Geometry
- AP Biology
- AP Physics
- SAT Preparation
- PSAT Preparation
- ACT Preparation
- Public Speaking & Debate
Employment Period
September 2026 – May 2027
Schedule
Flexible Part-Time Hours
- Weekday evening classes
- Weekend classes (Saturday and/or Sunday)
- In-person, remote, or hybrid opportunities available depending on the course and instructor qualifications.
Schedules will be assigned based on instructor availability and class enrollment.
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging and well-structured classes in your subject area.
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and practice assignments.
- Help students strengthen their academic skills, critical thinking, and confidence.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents when needed.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and professional learning environment.
Qualifications
Applicants should have expertise in at least one of the listed subjects.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
- Previous teaching, tutoring, or coaching experience.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for helping students succeed academically.
- Experience teaching AP courses or standardized test preparation (SAT, PSAT, ACT) is highly desirable.
