Duties
- Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lesson plans that incorporate literacy, math, and early childhood development activities
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment and encouraging appropriate behavior among children
- Help prepare educational materials and classroom resources aligned with curriculum goals, including Montessori or other pedagogical approaches
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, communication, and cognitive growth
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and active participation
- Collaborate with teachers to assess individual student needs, including those with special needs or disabilities such as autism
- Support classroom organization, including maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of educational supplies
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or school settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development and behavior management strategies
- Experience with lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management assistance
- Familiarity with teaching tools for literacy education, math concepts, and preschool teaching methodologies such as Montessori is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Technical proficiency with educational technology and classroom management tools
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
