The students, staff, and administration in the Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District (FLRSD) are seeking a Head Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach at Apponequet Regional High School (ARHS). Position Objective: Varsity girls volleyball Coach - Supervise and maintain a varsity, JV, and freshmanvolleyball program. Applicants need to be available each afternoon at 2:30 and available6 days per week. Each applicant must have experience coaching volleyball anddeveloping/supervising practices and game contests to promote teamwork, individualgrowth, skills, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship.Overall Position Responsibilities: 1.
Follows and maintains knowledge of District policy(ies) and practices.2. Follows and maintains knowledge of MIAA policy(ies) and practices.3. Supports the success of all FLRSD sports programs.4. Assists instruction and demonstrates skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement in volleyball.5.
Manage and supervise athletic activities, fundraisers, contests, and practice sessions to promote teamwork, individual growth in athletic skills, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship.6. Supports the Athletic Department's initiative of character development within our student-athletes.7. Travels with student athletes on the team bus both to and from games.8. Maintains necessary records and completes required paperwork in a specific time manner for themselves and assistant coaches.9.
Enforces discipline policies and emphasizes sportsmanship and healthy lifestyles.10. Supervises students in locker rooms after practices and at home/away games and ensures appropriate behavior.11. Maintains a safe environment and facilities for student athletes at all times.12. Works with athletic trainer to ensure all medical and safety requirements are followed.13.
Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff,parents, assistant coaches, and game officials resolving conflicts in a professional manner.14. Conducts pre-season parent meeting and end of season awards event for the soccer program.15. Works with the athletic director to maintain a current inventory of all fixed assets within the program.16. Professionally represents the school and the District in interactions with students, parents, community, staff and media.17.
