Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Customs Brokerage Entry Writer to join our dynamic logistics team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate customs entries, ensuring seamless clearance of international shipments in compliance with all relevant regulations. Your expertise will help optimize trade operations, mitigate risks, and uphold the highest standards of regulatory compliance across global trade activities. Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit customs brokerage entries with precision, adhering to all applicable customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs authorities to facilitate timely clearance of shipments.
- Manage regulatory compliance documentation, including risk assessments, export management records, and regulatory reporting obligations.
- Manage assigned accounts
- Possesses strong knowledge and understanding of Partner Government Agency
- Strong understanding of FDA, USDA, AMS, NOP, etc.
- Follow SOPs for each customer on the correct method and data required for preparing an entry.
- Assist in classifying products according to the HTSUSA
- Receive and review documentation, to input and transmit data for CBP release of shipments.
- Provide guidance to improve customer satisfaction
- Manage customs issues, such as holds and exams
- Handle entry cancellations; IT/TE/IE moves as needed
- Handling carnets and TIB entries
- Identify and resolve issues that may result in delayed cargo release or final delivery
- Report all issues to customers and management affecting timely clearance and delivery in a timely manner.
- Report problem resolutions to management in a timely manner including suggestions for problem avoidance in the future.
- Communicate in writing or verbally with customers and management all issues affecting specific urgent shipments.
- Track and trace shipments and coordinate with airlines, steamship lines, freight forwarders and CFS on the availability of imported shipments.
- Arrange with trucking companies the pick-up and delivery of freight solutions to simplify and expedite cargo flow.
- Provide advisory classification, FTA qualification, PGA requirements to Business Partners
- Assist and Engineer client solutions
- Assist team members as needed
- Promote additional business opportunities for the Company
- Stay current on updates to customs regulations, transportation safety regulations, and logistics compliance standards to proactively adjust procedures accordingly.
- Support the implementation of customs clearance management strategies that enhance efficiency while maintaining strict adherence to international trade regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience in interacting with high-level clients
- Reliable and communicates clearly
- Progressive high level operational experience (Min. 5 years – 7 years)
- Microsoft Office Suite intermediate knowledge
- Knowledge of regulations (19CFR) and HTS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Pass background check
- CargoWise Experience
- Technical proficiency with global trade management software, Excel data analysis tools, and other office productivity applications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage regulatory compliance processes effectively while maintaining high accuracy in documentation.
- Excellent report writing skills combined with analytical thinking for data-driven decision making.
- Familiarity with freight operations, export management practices, and fleet or transportation management is highly desirable.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing regulatory landscapes and maintain a proactive approach toward risk management.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
