We are seeking a full time Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team in the Jersey Mills Mall in Elizabeth, NJ.
If you are upbeat, energetic and performance driven, with proven sales experience and excellent customer service skills, you may be the individual we are looking for to join our team!
Essential Functions:
- Partner with the Manager to provide leadership and enthusiasm to drive exceptional customer experience, overall operational execution and total store results.
- Assist the Manager in all aspects of operating a retail store including merchandise, inventory and expense control.
- Lead and execute all company initiatives ensuring sales and profitability goals are exceeded.
- Train, develop and assess performance of sales associates in all aspects of the business to ensure skillset, product knowledge and operations skills are achieved in order to provide outstanding customer service.
- Collaborate with the store team to support and achieve the goals of Vitamin World.
- Greet and interact with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise, answering questions and making recommendations as appropriate
- Demonstrates knowledge of store products and services to increase sales.
- Maintain a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting Vitamin World’s commitment to our customer.
- Ensures that the store always looks clean and inviting
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of retail sales and customer service experience.
- Passion for health, nutrition, fitness and helping others.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 40lbs (stock).
- Bilingual a plus
