We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Credit Analyst to join our financial services team. Duties
- Handle commercial and industrial and commercial real estate deals by reviewing loan applications and conduct comprehensive analysis of the subject company’s operating statements and balance sheets, rent rolls and/or leases; use computer spreadsheet software for evaluation; review real estate appraisals; assess liquidity, quality of management, strength of the guarantor, market position, and overall business climate to estimate future profitability of customer in order to assess customer’s credit worthiness.
- Conduct comprehensive credit analysis by collecting and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant data to assess client risk profiles.
- Actively participate in the credit approval process through daily interaction with Loan Officers and Senior Management, resulting in the preparation of a written credit presentation for approval.
- Perform various departmental functions, including loan covenant monitoring, risk rating, stress testing and audit preparation.
- Prepare clear, concise financial reports and recommendations for senior management to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Maintain and expand the Credit Underwriting Department’s systems, processes, procedures and software products to enhance and promote efficient and accurate credit analysis and recommendations.
- Manage, administer, and participate in special projects that improve the lending function as well as standardizing lending function guidelines.
- Provide quality customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall image of the Bank
- Other duties as deemed appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Two years of related experience in lending or commercial credit underwriting or related roles within banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts such as risk analysis, cash flow analysis, and financial modeling techniques.
- Ability to interact professionally and tactfully with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Knowledge of loan processing, underwriting procedures, mortgage servicing, and portfolio management practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; decision-making skills and sensitivity when dealing with confidential information.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills, including Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office Suite.
