JOB TITLE: 7th Grade Head Boys Basketball Coach
REPORTS TO: Middle School Athletic Director
ESSENTIAL AND IMPORTANT DUTIES:
Serve as a positive role model to the players and parents- Teach skills through effectively planned practices at a level appropriate for each member of the team
- Condition athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength and agility
- Responsible for all aspects of directing the team’s practice and play in games
- Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one’s team
- Monitor players personal conduct during games
- Manage equipment
- Perform related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work well with middle school aged children

A solid understanding of the game's fundamentals, strategies, and age-appropriate skill development is crucial.

The ability to lead effectively, communicate clearly with students, parents, and staff, and foster a positive team environment is essential.

Willingness to learn and follow district rules and guidelines regarding youth sports

Prior coaching/playing experience is helpful but not required.
