Job Title: Data Center Fiber Project Manager
Location: Memphis, TN
Salary: $75,000-95,000/Yr base
Position Summary:
Anistar Technologies is seeking an experienced Data Center Fiber Project Managers to manage projects, lead teams throughout Memphis area.
Responsibilities of an Data Center Fiber Project Manager:
- Will work in the office and in the field
- Project Management experience in low voltage field or inside plant Fiber
- Ability to lead and mentor a team
- Experience overseeing subcontractors and ensuring work is done as is expected by the team and all stakeholders.
- Managing multiple crews with up to 100 technicians total
- Strong communication skills. This goes not only within the team but also with our customers and subcontractors.
- Ability to Read and understand security system drawings as well as familiarity
- Manage end-to-end fiber projects including backbone, horizontal, MMR, ER, Data Center hall interconnects and campus fiber deployments
- Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower plans, and material forecasts
- Coordinate installation sequencing with general contractors, electrical contractors, and data center operations teams
- Lead kickoff meetings, progress meetings, and closeout reviews
- Assist with creating proposals as needed
- Verifying hours for employees
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Qualifications
- Previous project management in Fiber Optics
- Working knowledge and experience of Inside plant Fiber or Cat5/6
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficient with scheduling software such as MS Project, SimPro, or Smartsheets
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a valid driver's license
- 5+ Years previous experience with electronic security systems required
- OSHA 30, BICSI, FOA, CFOT, CFOS certs are prefered
- Hyperscale or data center experience
