Title: Accountant
Summary
To support the operations of our credit union clients through performing back-office tasks related to clients’ member accounts. This individual will be the liaison between our credit union clients and MiCUSO
Duties
- Process exceptions and returns for ACH transactions and checks pertaining to member accounts
- Ensure timely posting of wires, remote deposit, insurance payments, and dealer reserves based on assigned credit unions
- Monitor assigned email inboxes, phones, messaging channels, and intranets for associated credit union communication
- Maintain and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts daily, ensuring they are current and in balance.
- Post accurate and timely general ledger entries.
- Ensure invoices and other expense items are saved for timely processing
- Printing checks and/or sending out invoice payments
- Answer member questions, whether directly or indirectly through credit union staff
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in the financial services industry is required.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- High School graduate or equivalent is required.
- Two-year degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
