Maintenance Technician – Homewood Suites Ridgeland, MS
Homewood Suites by Hilton Jackson/Ridgeland is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. As part of the MMI Hotel Group a leader with over 70 years of hospitality excellence we are committed to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of the hotel. Your efforts will ensure our guests enjoy a seamless and memorable stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the property
- Complete preventative maintenance to support facility upkeep and equipment performance
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret work orders and specifications accurately
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and guest safety
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize and respond to maintenance needs
- Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Dedication to providing excellent guest service
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Capable of lifting and transporting tools and maintenance materials
