Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing and grooming services to pets, ensuring they are clean, comfortable, and well-cared for. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Bathe and dry pets according to their specific needs and breed standards.
- Brush and comb fur to remove tangles and mats, ensuring the coat is healthy and well-groomed.
- Inspect pets for any signs of skin issues, parasites, or other health concerns and report findings to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized bathing area, including sanitizing equipment and tools after each use.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and preferences.
- Assist with animal handling during grooming sessions to ensure safety for both the pet and staff.
- Follow all safety protocols when working with animals to prevent accidents or injuries.
Skills
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage various breeds and temperaments.
- Knowledge of pet care practices including grooming techniques and filing nails with a dremmel or rotary tool.
- Ability to perform animal restraint safely when necessary.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
