Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various types of machinery and vehicles. The Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently.
Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and machinery.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems as needed.
- Execute rigging tasks safely and effectively when required.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle or equipment needs.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or Service Technician, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, including the use of an ohmmeter for diagnostics.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to mechanical systems.
- Experience with welding, soldering, sheet metal work, and fabrication is highly desirable.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Military experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
