Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following established food safety sanitizing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and kitchen areas by regularly cleaning surfaces, sinks, and storage areas
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
- Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy loads of dishes or equipment to prevent injury
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are clean and ready for guests
- Adhere to food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely dishwashing during busy service periods
Skills
- Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments with a focus on food service or dishwashing duties
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper cleaning techniques
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting of dishware and equipment
- Familiarity with food handling, food safety standards, and basic food preparation processes
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced setting
- Prior banquet or catering experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in food service environments
