Salary: $100k-$125k + bonus and benefits

Position Overview
We are a growing professional services accounting firm with offices north of Dallas and in Tulsa OK. We are committed to providing the best financial services to our clients and due to growth, we are eager to add a skilled Tax Manager to our team of public accounting professionals.
We are seeking a Tax Manager to help lead our tax function and ensure accurate, timely tax compliance and strategic tax planning for a diverse client base. The Tax Manager will use strong public accounting experience to oversee preparation and review of federal, state, local and international tax returns, manage client relationships, and provide technical guidance to staff. This role combines hands-on tax work, supervisory responsibilities, and collaboration with leaders to optimize tax positions and support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee preparation, review and filing of federal, state, local and international tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and deadlines.

Lead and supervise a team of tax professionals: assign work, review deliverables, provide coaching, and support professional development.

Manage multiple client engagements and projects, serving as primary client contact for tax planning, controversy, and audit support.

Conduct tax research and provide technical guidance on complex tax issues, ensuring application of current tax laws and regulations.

Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities while aligning with business goals and risk tolerance.

Coordinate with public accounting firms and external advisors during audits, due diligence and special projects.

Improve tax processes and leverage tax software and technology to increase efficiency and data quality.

Prepare and present tax analyses, forecasts and recommendations to senior leadership and clients.

Ensure adherence to firm policies, quality control standards and continuing education requirements for the team.
Qualifications

Required: Minimum 5 years experience in tax with substantial public accounting experience (Big Four or national/regional firms preferred).

Required: Demonstrated technical expertise in taxation (corporate, partnership, trust/estate, individual) and experience managing tax compliance and planning.

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required; Masters degree (MBA or MTax) highly desirable.

CPA licensure preferred; CMA or other professional credentials are a plus.

Proven supervisory experience with ability to lead, mentor and develop staff; experience managing teams and workflows.

Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting complex tax issues to clients and senior management.

Proficiency with tax software (e.g., CCH, UltraTax, Corptax) and Microsoft Excel; comfort adopting new tax technology solutions.

High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and commitment to professional and ethical standards.
