The Assistant Security Technician will assist in the field with the installation and servicing of Alarm, Fire, IP Video, Access Control, and other similar systems.
Responsibilities:
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Assist lead installer
- Ability to perform tasks such as drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors, and other areas as required
- Examine systems to locate problems such as loose connections or broken insulation
- Cleans work areas, tools, equipment, materials etc.
- Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
- Operate various power tools, scissor and boom lifts
- Moving, securing, installing, building, and loading or unloading materials
- Completes reports by entering required information
- Maintaining a safe work environment
- Assist with special projects and tasks as needed
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Climb ladders/heights
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic wiring concepts
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Ability to read blue prints a plus
- Reliable transportation
