Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and reliable Butcher to join our team. The Butcher is responsible for preparing, cutting, and packaging meats while maintaining halal standards, food safety, and a clean work environment.
Job type: Full time or part time
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, debone, grind, and portion meats according to standards.
- Ensure all meat preparation follows halal guidelines.
- Expert skill in butchering whole animals, accurately separating and preparing all parts into various cuts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of different meat cuts and their optimal culinary applications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butcher area.
- Properly label, store, and rotate products (FIFO).
- Assist customers with custom cuts and product questions.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production needs.
Qualifications:
- Previous butcher or meat-cutting experience preferred.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of halal meat handling is a strong plus.
- Ability to use knives, saws, grinders, and other tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
