Fleet Diesel Systems Mechanic - Full-Time Opportunity in Chambersburg, PA 1st & 2nd Shift

Position: Diesel Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Full-Time Diesel Mechanic for our 2nd shift to join our team at our Chambersburg, PA location. If you are experienced, detail-oriented, and passionate about working with heavy diesel trucks and machinery, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests and inspections on heavy diesel trucks (including Kenworth and Paccar engines) and Yellow Iron equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on hydraulic, electrical, suspension, brake, and air systems
- Use diagnostic software to interpret failure modes and recommend or carry out necessary repairs
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts orders, and preventive maintenance activities
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and customers to prioritize workloads and ensure high-quality service
- Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental policies, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic working with heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with Kenworth and Paccar engines
- Extensive knowledge of air brakes, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, welding, and Yellow Iron machinery
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple repair projects
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols

Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor settings
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, with alternating Saturdays
- Shift options: First shift / 8-hour to 10-hours
