Overview
Cornerstone Post Acute Care of Bossier is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our patient care team. The CNA provides direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living while supporting a safe, comfortable, and healing environment. This role works closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care for adult and geriatric patients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, ambulation, and exercise.
- Monitor and record patient information such as vital data, height, weight, intake and output, and specimen collection.
- Report changes in patient condition and document care provided accurately and timely.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, transportation, and discharges using proper safety procedures.
- Provide basic patient care procedures, including skin care, oral care, and elimination assistance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and prioritize responsibilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, patient confidentiality, and infection control practices.
- Ability to work effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
