Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions, sales, and order processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food handling areas, including scooping stations and kitchen spaces
- Assist customers with selections, upselling products to enhance their experience and increase sales
- Manage cash handling accurately while providing excellent customer service in a quick service or fast food setting
- Restock supplies, clean equipment, and ensure the shop adheres to food safety regulations
- Support food preparation tasks like ingredient prep, dishwashing, and bussing tables when needed
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, retail math, or cashiering is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Culinary or kitchen experience that demonstrates knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
- Background in the food industry or restaurant environment that highlights customer service excellence
- Ability to perform basic math for transactions, inventory checks, and food prep calculations
- Experience working in quick service or fast food restaurants is desirable but not required
