Join our team as a Marine Varnish/Finish Technician and become a vital part of our boat restoration and finishing operation! In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality varnishes, finishes, and coatings to marine vessels, ensuring they meet the highest standards of durability and aesthetic appeal. Duties
- Prepare surfaces meticulously through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal adhesion of varnishes and finishes
- Set up and safely use ladders and scaffolding
- Apply marine-grade varnishes and paints with precision and consistency
- Collaborate with team members on project timelines and quality standards to ensure timely completion of each vessel finish
Requirements
- Experience in marine varnish application or furniture finishing is preferred, but willing to train motivated candidates
- Familiarity with surface preparation techniques including masking, sanding, varnishing and painting
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
