GAS STATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Join our dynamic team as a Gas Station Attendant and Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face that keeps our customers coming back! In this lively role, you'll handle retail sales transactions, operate the cash register with precision, and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling all retail sales transactions accurately and responsibly
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections
- Manage fuel pump operations, ensuring safe and proper fueling procedures for all customers
- Conduct product demos and upselling to promote store merchandise and increase sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean, tidy, and well-merchandised
- Maintain accurate cash drawer handling and perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Follow phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
- Assist with inventory management by stocking supplies and monitoring product levels to meet customer needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our community’s needs
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations is advantageous
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing the cash drawer accurately
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of retail store products, merchandising practices, and sales techniques is beneficial
