Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Speech-Language Pathologist, where you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse populations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with pediatric patients, including those with disabilities, speech impairments, or recovering from injury or illness. You will implement personalized speech therapy plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and engage families and caregivers to optimize patient outcomes. Your expertise will help improve communication skills and quality of life for individuals of all ages in various settings, including clinics, schools, and via telehealth platforms.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify communication disorders in pediatric and adult patients
- Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals
- Provide direct therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques for speech therapy, language therapy, voice disorders, fluency issues, and swallowing difficulties
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, teachers, medical professionals, and other specialists to ensure cohesive patient care
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to document assessments, treatment progress, and patient outcomes accurately
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for improving communication skills and managing speech or language impairments
- Adapt therapy methods for telehealth delivery when necessary, ensuring continuity of care in virtual environments
Experience
- Proven experience working with pediatric populations in early intervention programs or school settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or speech impairments across diverse age groups
- Experience conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations using standardized assessment tools
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to physiology and anatomy relevant to speech-language pathology
- Prior experience implementing speech therapy plans within multidisciplinary teams in clinical or educational settings
- Telehealth therapy experience is advantageous; comfort with virtual platforms for remote patient care is essential
- Knowledge of working with geriatric patients on communication or swallowing issues is a plus

Pay: $46.42 - $70.00 per hour
