Duties

- Assist in menu planning and ingredient sourcing to ensure freshness and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling procedures
- Support food preparation for catering events and special functions
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Use knife skills effectively for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients to enhance dish quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings, preferably in fine dining or catering environments
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Skilled in meal preparation, food industry best practices, and kitchen operations
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in culinary techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
- Prior experience with menu planning, food service, and catering is highly desirable
