Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of engaging activities tailored to different age groups and interests, including arts and crafts, sports, theater, and educational games.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all first aid protocols, CPR/AED procedures, and camp safety guidelines.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance through individualized attention and inclusive teaching methods.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding camper progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise during camp hours.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure smooth daily operations and foster a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Uphold camp policies related to childcare standards, early childhood education practices, and youth program regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, tutoring, or youth programs.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and adaptability to handle diverse behaviors.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols are highly preferred.
- Experience in special education or working with children with special needs is a plus.
- Ability to lead sports coaching sessions or recreational activities that promote physical activity and teamwork.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
