Valentino’s Bennington is hiring a Shift Manager!
Join the team at Valentino’s Bennington, where we’re serving up great pizza and creating a fun, friendly experience for our customers and our team. We’re looking for a dependable, positive, and motivated leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and takes pride in providing excellent customer service and quality food.
This position requires the ability to close the restaurant at least 3 nights per week. Closing responsibilities include supervising the team through the end of the shift, completing closing procedures, ensuring the restaurant is clean and secure, and preparing the store for the following day.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise the restaurant team during assigned shifts
- Open and close the restaurant according to company procedures
- Close the restaurant at least 3 nights per week
- Oversee front counter, kitchen, and delivery operations
- Ensure excellent customer service and a positive guest experience
- Monitor food quality, preparation, and portion standards
- Ensure employees are productive and following company policies and procedures
- Monitor food, paper, and supply inventory and minimize waste
- Help control labor and operating costs
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation standards
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and day-to-day shift issues
- Coach and support team members to help them succeed
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming restaurant
- Lead by example with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
What We’re Looking For
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is a plus
- Reliable and dependable, especially for closing shifts
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Team-oriented mindset and a commitment to excellent customer service
