Job Summary
Elite Learning is seeking caring, dependable, and energetic After School Teachers to support our licensed Out-of-School Time (OST) program in Arkansas. Teachers play an essential role in creating a safe, structured, and engaging environment while implementing program activities and supporting student growth and development.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, are reliable, and want to be part of a positive, school-based program that makes a meaningful impact each day.
This position begins at the start of the school year in August 2026.
After-School Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 12:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- Part-Time Position
Key ResponsibilitiesCreate a Safe & Positive Environment
- Supervise and ensure the safety of all children at all times
- Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and structured environment
- Follow all Arkansas OST licensing safety and supervision standards
Implement Activities & Curriculum
- Lead and assist with structured academic and enrichment activities
- Support student learning through engaging, age-appropriate programming
- Adapt activities to meet varying developmental needs
Active Supervision & Engagement
- Actively engage with children during all program activities
- Support positive behavior and redirect when necessary
- Maintain appropriate supervision at all times (no unsupervised groups)
Communication & Teamwork
- Communicate professionally with coworkers, site leadership, and school staff
- Report concerns, incidents, or needs to the Site Supervisor or Director
- Support a positive and collaborative team environment
Professional Conduct
- Serve as a positive role model for children at all times
- Follow all program policies and Arkansas OST licensing requirements
- Participate in required training and ongoing professional development
Requirements (Per Arkansas OST Licensing)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must pass criminal background check and fingerprinting
- CPR/First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain certification
- Must be able to perform job duties in a childcare environment safely and effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in childcare, after-school programs, camps, tutoring, or youth development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage and engage groups of children in a structured setting
- Basic technology skills (attendance systems, communication tools, etc.)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to actively supervise children indoors and outdoors
- Ability to stand, walk, and engage with children for extended periods
- Occasional lifting and transporting of program materials and supplies
