Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated HVAC Entry Level Helper to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals interested in building a career in HVAC, refrigeration, and property maintenance. The role involves assisting experienced technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems and related equipment. Candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude, basic construction knowledge, and a willingness to learn field service operations. A valid <PERSON> driver’s license is required. This is an entry-level position offering valuable hands-on experience in HVAC/R, plumbing, appliance repair, and equipment maintenance.
Duties
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and boilers
- Support service technicians in troubleshooting using schematics and HVAC design principles
- Help with refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R equipment
- Perform basic plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and property maintenance
- Use tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and diagnostics
- Aid in equipment repair, welding, and general mechanical work as needed
- Follow safety protocols during field service operations and equipment handling
- Assist with property maintenance tasks including appliance repair and general upkeep
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of construction, mechanical systems, or property maintenance preferred
- Experience or familiarity with service technician work, HVAC systems, refrigeration, or appliance repair is a plus
- Ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design concepts
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R equipment, boilers, or welding is advantageous
- Prior experience in field service or equipment repair is beneficial
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new skills on the job
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license required for travel between job sites
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
