About the Position
Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School is seeking a compassionate, organized, and student-centered School Nurse to support the health, safety, and well-being of our students and staff. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering a healthy learning environment, enjoys working with adolescents, and demonstrates sound clinical judgment while building positive relationships with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities and Expectations
- Provide direct nursing care to students in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations and school policies.
- Assess student illnesses and injuries, administer first aid, medications, and other health-related services as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records and ensure compliance with state immunization and health screening requirements.
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic medical conditions.
- Collaborate with parents, physicians, school counselors, teachers, and administrators to support student health needs.
- Monitor communicable illnesses and implement appropriate prevention and infection control measures.
- Coordinate required health screenings, including vision, hearing, height/weight, and scoliosis screenings.
- Promote student wellness through health education and preventative care initiatives.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and maintain emergency medical supplies and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the building administrator.
Experience & Qualifications
All candidates must possess the following:
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Pennsylvania School Nurse Certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification if applicable.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
- Previous pediatric, school nursing, emergency, or community health experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, faculty, administrators, and outside healthcare providers.
Salary & Schedule

- Position follows the school calendar for the 2026–2027 school year.
- Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday during regular school hours. Depending on admissions numbers for the following school year, some flexible summer hours should be expected to ensure student records are ready for the first day/week(s) of the new school year.
