Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated New York State Certified Teacher to join our Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of prekindergarten-aged children. The candidate will collaborate with the Enlarged City School District of Middletown NY
Candidates must be energetic, enthusiastic, and committed individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and helping young learners thrive.
Position Details: Schedule follows the school district calendar Summers off Summer employment opportunities available through our Summer Camp Program for candidates seeking year-round employment
Candidates holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education are strongly encouraged to apply.
Pay Rate:$22.00 – $25.00 per hour

Qualifications:
- Mandatory Valid New York State Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 2 or equivalent)
- Current Possession of New York State Birth-2nd Grade Teaching Certificate
- Experience teaching preschool or early childhood preferred
- Knowledge of UPK curriculum standards and child development principles
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with NYS UPK standards
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Monitor and document children’s developmental progress
- Maintain open communication with families regarding student growth and classroom activities
- Collaborate with staff and administrators to support program goals
- Maintain compliance with NYS licensing and program regulations
- Manage classroom routines and positive behavior guidance
