Job Title: Shipper
Location: Montgomeryville, PA 18936
Duration: 03 Months (Possibility of extension)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (40 hours per week). Must be flexible for OT (early starts/late finishes).
Training Period: Approximately 2 weeks on a 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule.
Job Description:
To stage, pack, wrap and ship product to customers, support production in the completion of packaging functions, and maintain on-time delivery (OTD) and accountability in compliance with security standards.
Essential Functions:
Prepare orders for shipment to customers using a pick list, including printing labels, wrapping and strapping pallets and cartons, and following order-specific packing instructions.
Coordinate with Customer Service to ensure proper handling of the product.
Communicate with Customer Service if any issues with the scheduled shipments occur
Handle shipping transactions with secure and common carriers in accordance with security standards.
Restack and repackage pallets and/ cartons as needed from other sites
Prep cardbodies from sister sites based on production schedule
Load and unload trucks as required.
Provide backup support for Receiving team and Techno Kitter as necessary, including inventorying raw materials and stored finished goods, monitoring inventory stock levels and notifying purchasing to reorder of consumables as needed, and delivering goods and materials to the plant and office.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to attain and maintain the license to operate powered industrial equipment as required by position (i.e. forklift and other power equipment)
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in shipping
Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work independently and demonstrate proactivity.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required - please make sure you to confirm with your candidate
Oracle experience is highly preferred.
Strong basic math skills (counting) cycle counting experience is preferred.
A valid forklift license and/or operator experience is a plus but not a requirement
Physical Demands:
Must wear safety shoes as specified in the local Safety Shoe Policy
May require the use of additional personal protective equipment (such as safety glasses) as dictated by local policy
Must be able to perform repetitive lifting, carrying and packing functions up to 60 pounds
Requires constant standing and walking and occasional stair climbing
Fast-paced work environment
Required to utilize a variety of lifting equipment, such as fork truck, electric hand truck and Clark truck
