Odyssey Early Learning Academy in Winthrop, MA is looking for warm, reliable, and enthusiastic educators to join our team for the Fall 2026 school year. We are hiring EEC Certified Teachers as well as Assistant Teachers who are passionate about working with young children in a supportive, team-oriented early childhood setting.
We are currently hiring for:
EEC Certified Teachers
Full-time positions available for Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K classrooms. Candidates must be EEC Teacher certified or actively working toward certification.
Assistant Teachers
Full-time and part-time positions available. Afternoon shifts from 3:00–6:00 PM are available and are an excellent opportunity for responsible high school students interested in early childhood education, child development, or future teaching careers.
At Odyssey, we value work-life balance. Full-time teachers work four 10-hour days per week, giving each teacher a consistent weekday off while still maintaining full-time hours.

Teacher Responsibilities May Include:
- Providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Planning and participating in age-appropriate activities
- Maintaining classroom routines, supervision, and safety
- Communicating positively with children, families, and co-workers
- Following EEC regulations and Odyssey policies
- Working collaboratively with co-teachers and administration
Assistant Teacher Responsibilities May Include:
- Supporting classroom teachers with daily routines and activities
- Helping with play, transitions, meals, cleanup, and supervision
- Engaging with children in a kind, patient, and positive way
- Following classroom expectations and safety procedures
- Being a dependable and helpful member of the classroom team

Requirements:
EEC Certified Teacher applicants should hold current Massachusetts EEC Teacher certification or be working toward certification.
Assistant Teacher applicants do not need to be EEC certified, but experience with children is a plus. High school students applying for afternoon shifts should be responsible, dependable, and interested in working with young children.
All candidates must meet applicable EEC hiring requirements.
