Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Culinary Lead/Cook to oversee all food-related operations. Duties
- Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and meet resident preferences, ensuring variety and quality.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and food handling procedures, to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Lead, motivate, and train culinary staff and dietary aides to uphold high standards of service, safety, and professionalism.
- Oversee food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations, including proper knife skills, sanitation practices, and storage procedures.
- Coordinate events and special meals, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes.
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, minimizing waste while maintaining freshness and quality.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, pricing strategies, and resident feedback to enhance the dining experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles within healthcare or hospitality settings.
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in menu planning for diverse dietary needs including fine dining environments.
- Hands-on kitchen experience with excellent knife skills and meal preparation capabilities.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food in restaurant or catering settings.
- Prior experience in restaurant management or culinary leadership roles preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks such as food service operations and staff supervision.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and coordinate with other departments.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
