Overview
The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role ensures all equipment, systems, and facilities operate efficiently and safely to provide a comfortable guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems (Plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to identify maintenance needs
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
- Repair fixtures such as doors, windows, locks, and furniture
- Maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance to avoid future issues
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
- Maintain tools and maintenance inventory
- Assist with painting, carpentry, and minor renovations
- Keep maintenance logs and records of work performed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance roles, with a strong understanding of general maintenance practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
- Basic knowledge and experience using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter.
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with keen attention to detail.
