American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience and Epic proficiency, with night shift availability at a Level I Trauma facility.

ICU unit within a hospital setting, operating as a 36-bed unit
-
Telemetry, drips, and ventilator patient population with a targeted 1:2 patient ratio
-
Experience with A-Lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and ABG draws required in this role

Epic EMR is used and experience is required

Night shift schedule (7p–7:30a), 3x12-hour shifts per week; 36- or 48-hour weekly contract options available

Travelers are first to float at the system's discretion, within specialty clusters; floating may include assignments to medically appropriate units or supporting the nursing care team of the floated unit

For assignments at this campus, floating may include the main campus (Dayton), south campus (Centerville, under 10 miles), or north campus (Englewood, under 15 miles)

Every other weekend and holiday availability required

Active OH RN license or compact RN license required (not required to be in hand at signing)

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience required

Ability to read and interpret EKG/telemetry strips required; must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to starting

Experience with A-Lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs required

Epic EMR experience required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Level I Trauma experience preferred

Travel nursing experience preferred

Navy blue scrubs are required

RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no RTO will be added after an offer is made, and approval is at the manager's discretion
