POSITION PURPOSE
To assist members with all of their financial needs while delivering an exceptional member experience. This role serves as a trusted financial resource by promoting Credit Union products and services, building meaningful relationships with current and prospective members, and supporting the growth of the Southaven branch. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving the Southaven community, enjoys building local relationships, and represents Orion Financial through active community involvement and outreach. This position also assists the Branch Leader in achieving branch sales and service goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Greet and welcome members to the Credit Union in a courteous, professional, and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate service and exceptional member experiences.
2. Interview potential loan and new member applicants to collect and enter loan information while identifying additional financial needs.
3. Assist with ongoing marketing campaigns, sales promotions, and local community outreach efforts that increase awareness of Orion Financial and support branch growth.
4. Build relationships with members, local businesses, schools, and community organizations to promote the Credit Union and establish a strong presence within the Southaven community.
5. Seek additional opportunities to meet each member's financial needs during every interaction.
6. Recommend and promote additional Credit Union products and services during account openings and loan applications.
7. Assist management with tracking teller referrals and supporting branch sales initiatives.
8. Promote and explain other Credit Union services such as IRAs, certificates of deposit, credit cards, ancillary products, and safe deposit boxes.
9. Cross-train in the Assistant Branch Manager role.
10. Assist in the teller area as needed by processing member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, money orders, cashier's checks, and loan payments.
11. Represent Orion Financial at community events, networking opportunities, and local partnerships to strengthen relationships and support branch growth.
12. Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures. Thorough knowledge of Credit Union products and services.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience in a financial institution, lending, sales, or member service environment. Knowledge of the Southaven market and an established presence or involvement in the local community is strongly preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical office environment with occasional travel throughout the Southaven community to attend networking events, community activities, and business development opportunities.
