Position Overview
Epic Exteriors is seeking an experienced Claims Specialist / Estimator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with extensive insurance restoration experience who understands how to properly identify storm-related damage, prepare accurate Xactimate estimates, and help maximize legitimate insurance claim settlements for homeowners.
As a Claims Specialist, you will work closely with our sales team, homeowners, and insurance adjusters to ensure every claim is thoroughly documented, accurately estimated, and professionally managed from inspection through approval.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive roof, siding, gutter, window, and exterior loss assessments.
- Identify wind, hail, and storm-related damage in accordance with insurance industry standards.
- Prepare detailed and accurate Xactimate estimates for roofing, siding, and exterior restoration projects.
- Meet with insurance adjusters during field inspections when necessary.
- Review insurance scopes of loss and identify missing or overlooked items.
- Write supplements and negotiate additional scope when justified.
- Assist sales representatives throughout the insurance claims process.
- Document damages with detailed photos, measurements, and reports.
- Ensure all estimates meet local building codes, manufacturer requirements, and carrier guidelines.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, adjusters, and internal staff throughout the claims process.
- Stay current on insurance carrier procedures, pricing updates, and restoration best practices.
Qualifications
- Required experience with Xactimate estimating software.
- Proven experience writing estimates for roofing and siding insurance losses.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and building components.
- Ability to identify storm damage and accurately assess covered losses.
- Experience writing supplements and negotiating with insurance carriers.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to climb ladders and perform roof inspections safely (if required)
Compensation
- Competitive base salary
- Performance-based commission paid as a percentage of the revenue generated from insurance claims you help secure, estimate, supplement, and obtain approval for.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
