Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM (Day Shift)

We are seeking an Inventory Specialist to support the accuracy, organization, and movement of materials that support manufacturing and service operations. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining inventory integrity, supporting production needs, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure materials are available when and where they are needed.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Accuracy & Control
- Perform daily cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and enter inventory count results.
- Audit inventory locations to ensure physical inventory matches records in the inventory management system.
- Conduct off-cycle counts and support discrepancy investigations and inventory corrections.
- Partner with Accounting to address inventory-related audit questions.
Material Flow & Organization
- Assign inventory locations for new materials and relocate existing items as needed.
- Update inventory locations within the inventory management system.
- Maintain clear separation between shippable and non-shippable inventory.
- Maintain organized inventory areas while following 5S standards.
- Support FIFO (First-In, First-Out) material usage across manufacturing and service operations.
- Replenish materials for Production and Technical Service teams to support uninterrupted workflow.
Cross-Functional Support & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with Production, Technical Service, Supply Chain, and other teams to optimize inventory storage and material flow.
- Evaluate and adjust inventory locations based on usage, demand, and available space.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete materials and support disposition recommendations.
- Serve as a point of contact for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) suppliers.
- Escalate urgent material needs and purchasing concerns to the appropriate teams.
QualificationsExperience & Skills
- 2+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
- Experience with inventory management systems; ERP/MRP experience strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Familiarity with Lean principles, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
