Kiddie Academy Of Allen is looking to hire a teacher for our after-school program. This is a part-time position with the hours being Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm, and Full-time school holidays and summer.
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- A high school diploma is required and all applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Safety Management, Creativity, Dependable, Flexibility, Motivating Others, Listening, Verbal Communication, Resolving Conflict, Self-Motivated, Positive Attitude/Demeanor
- Previous childcare and/or teaching experience is required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Stimulate the emotional, intellectual, and social growth of children by developing and directing educational programs and activities tailored to assigned class.
- Help the children with their homework, interact with children, prepare and organize group games, arts, and crafts activities, play outdoor and indoor games, etc.
- Staff is expected to supervise children at all times, be organized, and implement age-appropriate activities
- Able to organizing and plan the summer field trips
- Provide a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing facilities; removing known safety hazards.
- Encourage the development of children’s self-control by utilizing classroom management and modeling techniques.
- Must be able to drive the Kiddie Academy bus for picking up and dropping off children to and from school.
Must be available to work from Monday through Friday, as well as full-time hours during school holidays and summer.
Candidates must have or be able to obtain prior to employment CPR and First Aid Certification, Pass an FBI fingerprint background check, but these can be fulfilled upon hire.
