Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and other culinary tools safely and efficiently
- Follow recipes meticulously to ensure adherence to menu specifications and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas by following food safety sanitizing procedures at all times
- Handle food safely during preparation, cooking, and storage according to industry standards
- Support food production during high-volume periods, ensuring timely delivery of meals without compromising quality
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service
Experience
- Previous experience as a grill cook or in a similar food service role within a restaurant or catering environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Proven ability to operate kitchen equipment such as grills, knives and other culinary tools.
- Recipe adherence, and high-volume food production is highly desirable
- Strong knife skills combined with culinary experience in high-volume kitchens are preferred
- Familiarity with food safety management practices ensures compliance with health regulations
