Join our dedicated team as an Animal Care & Sanitation Technician and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our animals and staff. In this energetic and essential position, you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and animal handling to support the well-being of animals in our care. This role offers the opportunity to work in a animal shelter setting where your attention to detail and compassion make a real difference every day. You will be in charge of the dog area, so you can not be afraid of dogs. We only in-take dogs under 25lbs due to our kennal size. We are a non-profit organzaiton so unfortunately pay rate is not the best.
Duties
- Feed and provide fresh water to dogs according to daily schedules
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and outside areas, Our dog yards consist of picking up poop
- Maintain cleanliness of floors and overall shelter environment
- Provide basic interaction and comfort to dogs(handling, socialization)
- Follow sanitation and safety protocols to ensure a healthy environment
- Assist with daily care routines as needed
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
