Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
- Monitor CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment to oversee activity across the facility
- Respond swiftly and effectively to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, including medical incidents requiring first aid or CPR
- Enforce security policies by checking identification, inspecting bags, and managing access points for employees, visitors, and vendors
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism using conflict management skills to de-escalate tensions
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents or investigations
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for reporting purposes
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields preferred
- Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional training in surveillance technology such as CCTV is advantageous
- Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and security procedures
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and decisively while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively
- Knowledge of security systems including CCTV operation and alarm response protocols
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly during emergencies
