Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and updating project schedules using Primavera P6 or other scheduling software to ensure timely project delivery.
- Support the preparation and review of construction plans, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to monitor progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.
- Contribute to cost management efforts by analyzing Excel data related to budgets, expenditures, and resource allocation.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or Civil engineering project management tools to track project documentation and workflows.
- Participate in site visits to gain firsthand understanding of construction activities and safety protocols.
- Assist in contract administration tasks including reviewing contracts, change orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Support project coordination efforts by communicating effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Help prepare reports on project status, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Skills
- Proficiency with construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or scheduling tools like Microsoft Project.
- Experience with construction estimating software including HeavyBid or similar programs.
- Familiarity with construction management software like ProCore or Bluebeam for document control and collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering project management software and construction industry standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data using Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Solid understanding of construction plans, drawings, specifications, and site safety procedures.
- Effective communication skills for project coordination among diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage time efficiently while juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of contracts, change orders, and cost control measures within the construction industry.
