Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans in music, art, and theater that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior guidance strategies
- Engage students in hands-on activities such as painting, acting, singing, dancing, sewing, culinary arts, photography, ballet, and other creative projects
- Support students’ developmental needs by adapting instruction for early childhood education and preschoolers
- Organize performances, exhibitions, or showcases to celebrate student achievements in the arts
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and develop innovative teaching methods
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth and confidence
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring children across various age groups, including early childhood or preschool settings
- Strong background in curriculum development tailored to arts education and classroom experience in creative disciplines
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Skills in lesson planning that incorporate arts techniques such as ballet, theater production, sewing, culinary arts, photography, dancing, and other creative activities
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and developmental stages
- Enthusiasm for working with students and supporting their childhood development through arts-based learning opportunities
