Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Skilled Laborer/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry and construction tasks that contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise in various carpentry techniques, use of hand and power tools, and ability to read blueprints will be essential for delivering high-quality craftsmanship. Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install structural components such as framing, siding, drywall, and cabinetry using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Perform demolition, restoration, and remodeling tasks including water damage restoration, plastering, stucco application, and mold remediation.
- Install fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinets, trim carpentry, and roofing materials with precision.
- Construct concrete forms and assist with rebar installation for foundations and other structural elements.
- Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols on construction sites.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout each phase of work to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or carpentry with hands-on knowledge of framing, trim carpentry, roofing, siding, flooring installation, tile laying, and metal stud framing.
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., saws, hammers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) used in construction projects.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus.
- Experience with fabrication techniques including woodworking and metalworking is desirable.
- Familiarity with water damage restoration techniques and mold remediation is advantageous.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or confined spaces.
- Valid construction site experience with a focus on safety practices.
- Additional skills such as plumbing, electrical experience, masonry work, CNC fabrication or assembly are beneficial but not required.
