About This Role
We are a teacher-led preschool dedicated to providing a developmentally appropriate environment for children aged 3 to 6 years old. Our academic program offers a balance of curriculum and play-based opportunities, preparing students for kindergarten with a well-rounded education. We have a supportive and caring culture, and we're seeking a candidate who fits our mindset.
This is a full-time position for the academic year, with optional summer camp opportunities for year-round work. We offer a positive, fun, and educational environment for our staff and students.

What You'll Do

Design and implement educational curriculum in collaboration with teaching staff, incorporating flexibility for teacher input.

Set an example of excellence and encourage the teaching team to strive for success through coaching and mentorship.

Develop and lead engaging activities to promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children.

Maintain open communication with parents through regular discussions, Brightwheel interactions, and parent-teacher conferences as needed.

Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations at all times.

Establish and maintain a healthy classroom environment, prioritizing hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.

Supervise teacher assistants to ensure adherence to planned activities, safety standards, and best practices.

Manage accurate records, forms, and files to maintain organizational standards.

Develop a personal professional development plan to drive continuous quality improvement.

Participate in regular team meetings and staff bonding events to foster a sense of community.
Requirements

Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card, current
-
Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.

Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.

A strong understanding of child development.

High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.

Minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience.

Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.

Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.

Contracted from August - May with summer hours for June and July available as needed or take the summer off. Will offer a mid-year contract for a later start date.
