OCNS is play-based, child-led, Co-Op preschool that utilizes an emergent curriculum that will foster a love for learning through various formats and experiences.
Job Description:
We are hiring for a Co-Teacher position to teach in our Greenhouse classroom. The Co-Teacher will work cooperatively with staff to support each child’s social-emotional, intellectual, and physical development, while helping maintain a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities include planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities with co-teacher, supporting children’s health and safety, and adapting to different classroom settings as required.
The Co-Teacher will also contribute to understanding the needs of individual children by observing and engaging in classroom activities. This position reports directly to the Co-Op Director, with collaboration from the Parent Board of Directors. Familiarity with a cooperative school model, either as a teacher or parent, is highly encouraged. An understanding of progressive and emergent early education practices and curriculum is preferred.
Requirements:
-1 year experience required
-Live Scan clearance
-TB test and immunizations required
-18+ years old
Education Requirements:
-12 ECE units minimum (including the required courses outlined by the state of CA)

Compensation:
-22.00-26.00 DOE and qualifications
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
