Overview

Duties
- Support the digitization of archival collections, including scanning, digital file management, and quality control processes.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of databases and content management systems to ensure accurate records management and resource accessibility.
- Aid in cataloging archival materials.
- Conduct research to enhance collection descriptions and support collection development initiatives.
- Collaborate on a project related to preservation, archival processing, and collection management.
- Support social media management efforts by creating engaging content that highlights collections and promotes public engagement with archives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Archival Studies, History, or a related field; relevant experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing large volumes of data and physical materials.
- Familiarity with archives management principles, including archival standards for materials description and preservation techniques.
- Experience with digital archiving tools, content management systems, databases, XML coding, and digitization processes.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to interpret historical documents and contextualize collections effectively.
- Effective written communication skills suitable for documentation, reports, and public engagement activities.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4.0 – 16.0 per week
