POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This role is responsible for managing parts inventory for the Maintenance Department. Duties include ordering items based on cost and lead time, maintaining accurate stock locations, tracking and shipping parts, obtaining price quotes and lead-time information from vendors, and labeling all parts.
Training will take place on Day Shift from 6:30 AM to 3:15 PM. After training, the permanent schedule will be 6:30 PM to 3:15 AM. Starting pay is $16–$18 per hour based on experience.
Requirements:
Duties include but not limited to:

Prepare and/or review purchase requisitions/orders as required

Source price quotations and prepare purchase requisitions/orders

Monitor inventory daily and reconcile physical inventories with records

Organize parts in the inventory and location and maintain them in an orderly manner

Verify part numbers and place parts in appropriate containers/shelving

Monitor inventory levels in order to maintain just-in-time inventory

Expedite and follow up with suppliers to schedule deliveries, resolve material, value discrepancy, outstanding and overdue delivery of orders, warranty claims and damage, and return of materials

Maintain inventory with updated prices

Match packing slip with purchase orders

Maintain contact with vendors

Disburse parts to mechanic and other departments as needed

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Ensure tracking of parts coming in or going out of the parts room at all time

Perform other duties as assigned by management
EDUCATION, SKILLS and/or EXPERIENCE
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Good organizational skills
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
-
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Must be able to meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
-
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the phone

Required work rotation every month and will be required to work weekends and overtime when needed

Work environment is that of an office with moderate noise and/or exposure to dust and fumes. The position requires the majority of time spent on a shop floor with excessive noise. This position requires working independently as well as a part of a group with minimal supervision. This position requires the individual to be subject to cold, hot and humid building conditions. This position requires a stringent work schedule in an extremely fast-paced environment.
This position requires regular and reliable attendance to meet production needs, adherences to all ISO 14001 and TS16949 standards. This position also requires compliance with quality standards at all times.
